South East Helping Hands
South East Helping Hands is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance to those in need. Their website also features a comprehensive list of resources for all needs and ages.
Today House
Today House serves to provide emergency, overnight shelter in a safe environment for those in greatest need in the Steinbach area.
Soup’s On
The Soup Kitchen serves two free evening meals per week, and works together with the Steinbach schools to provide a breakfast and lunch program for students. Soup’s On serves dinner on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Grace Mennonite Church, 430 Third Street (rear entrance).
Steinbach Community Outreach
Steinbach Community Outreach assists people who are struggling to meet their essential needs, focusing on the poor, homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. They address unmet essential needs of food, clothing, shelter and relationship; and assist in accessing available services.
Agape House
Agape House-Eastman Crisis Centre, Inc. provides safe shelter, information, counselling, and ongoing support for women and children experiencing family violence. The shelter has 16 beds, and in an average year sees over 200 clients and responds to over 1,000 crisis calls.
